Wags Gives Back

At Wags & Giggles, we have a lot to be grateful for.  We are glad to be able to give back to the community and the world – many of our products support local and global causes.

Some of our eco-friendly products include our Cate & Levi hand puppets – made out of recycled materials, these puppets leave the smallest carbon footprint possible.  They are handmade, and 10% of proceeds go towards different funds that help children in need. Our very own “I Dig Block Island” collars are made of bamboo – one of the world’s best renewable resources.

Other products support humans and animals in need.  Happy Rescue Dog products support animal shelters local to the company’s hometown in New York State.  Planet Dog (Planetdogfoundation.org) toys support different programs that bring animals and humans together – including assistant dog programs and wounded warriors programs.

Our Jacaranda Living onesies support poverty stricken South African women, who make the products in socially responsible environments.  Green Egg onesies support The Haiti Projects (Haitiprojects.org) – a sewing and knitting cooperative that brings work and income to needy communities.  The ever-popular Bunnies by the Bay collection supports the Half the Sky Foundation (www.halfthesky.org) – a project which helps orphaned children in China.  Their goal is to make sure that every orphaned child has an adult in their life.

Check out the organizations websites (listed above) for more information about how your purchase at Wags & Giggles is making a difference – you’ll also be supporting a local small business!  Stop by Wags this summer or fall – visit us during A Taste of Block Island September 21st – 23rd!
